Christy Goes Places is my space for helping others plan travel so they can actually relax and enjoy the trip.

I’ve learned that you can manage a lot of travel stress before you even leave.

This comes from:

  • Packing the right things

  • Knowing what to download ahead of time

  • Planning just enough so you’re not overwhelmed

  • Remembering you don’t need to see/do it all

I created Christy Goes Places to help you feel reassured and calm before your trip starts, so you can think, I’ve got this.

A quick note on how I travel.

I travel solo, with family, with friends, for work, and also tag along on my husband’s work trips when that’s an option. Basically, any time I can!

Travel doesn’t have to be stressful to be meaningful.

You don’t need to pack everything. You don’t need to do everything. You just need to…

A few things about me.

Because travel advice is better when you know who it’s coming from.

  • Aisle seat, always

  • Local café over hotel breakfast (unless it’s free)

  • A comfy bed can save almost any trip

  • My relationship with airports, in one word: donuts (because calories don’t exist there)

  • I noped out of scuba diving real quick. Snorkel? Perfect.

  • I love food tours. They’re my favorite way to get the lay of the land, learn a few local phrases, and figure out what I actually want to eat again

  • I will pack my fuzzy socks every single time
